And so at last the girl had gotten used to the human world ... Well atleast a little bit. She still avoided the humans as much as possible afraid that they would sense something different about her. Plus there was the fact that she now knew there were other demons around, which did feel just a little uncomfortable to her.
The reason? There isn't one.
Ash was simply the type of being who preferred to be alone, and look after herself. She didn't believe she needed anyone else and the only people she had ever trusted were her old group of bandits. She was left wondering if they were still alive ... Or if they really had died ...
Shaking her head, she growled, bending her knees and jumping into the nearest tree. It was already dark, but that didn't mean that she couldn't see - she was a demon afterall, and currently her mis-matched red and blue eyes were scanning the ground as she sat on the branch, letting her legs hang down. Atleast it was peaceful for the time being, which meant that she leant against the tree trunk and closed her eyes.
Her ears twitched a few times as rustling leaves caught her attention, yet nothing seemed to bother the wolf demon all that much, it was afterall a once in a lifetime chance to get some privacy in this world. Yet unlike the last time she had been out and about, her tail was nowhere to be seen. Apparently the A Class demon had figured out how to hide it properly in her human form.
"Hnn?" Ash questioned herself softly, the ex-bandit actually opening her left blue eye to glance to her left side and down at the ground once more. She could have sworn she heard she heard something that didn't sound like an animal at all.

Despite the fact that he didnt much care for the human realm and the mortals that inhabbited it, the fire demon returned every once and a while to check up on his sister. Nothing had changed since the last time he paid a visit. Yukina was still staying with Genkai at the temple, and she was still safe and sound. She'd probably still be alright the next time he came around, but he could only be convinced after her content with his own eyes. It was usually out of character for Hiei care about anyone other than himself, but she was his sibling and he had been watching over her from afar for as long as he could remember.
Now he was in the forest, flitting from tree to tree at an inhuman speed that made him look like a flying shadow. He knew there was a portal leading back to Makai somewhere in the area, but he decided he wouldnt mind spending the rest of the evening in the kitsune run. He was about to rest on a branch when he felt the presence of an unfamiliar demon. His sharp crimson eyes narrowed. He could feel how powerful the demon's aura was and he wondered why he hadnt sensed it before. It had been a long time since demon's this strong crossed over to the human realm. He was about a mile away from her and her energy felt as close as ever, she couldnt have been just some ordinary demon.
He landed swiftly on the ground which was probably the sound that gave him away, reaching the spot where she was. He needed to figure out why the demon was there in the first place. It was almost never good when a demon crossed over. All he knew was that Yukina had been as safe as she could have ever been in a world without nearly as many threats as there were in the demon world, but now he couldnt be so sure.
His instincts told him to look up and so he did, noticing the stranger who was perched upon the branch above. Even though they came from the same place, he'd never seen her before in his entire life. She looked pretty human for the most part, but then again they all had their disguises.
"So you're the demon I could sense a mile away," he said, getting to the point. "What business could you possibly have here in the human world?"

"Hi, nice to meet you too." Ash remarked rather sarcastically as she looked down at Hiei, obviously a little aggigated with his apparent rudeness - or atleast that was how she saw it. She had been asked that same question atleast 3 times now and it was getting on her nerves just a little bit at this point.
Though glaring at the male, she did drop down rather gracefully onto the ground - she could tell he was a strong demon like herself as soon as he appeared, though if that was the case then she also wondered why on earth he was in the human world. She never thought about her own answer, simply because she didn't even remember how she got there - she was simply thrown down after that fight ...
"Whatever reason I'm here, it's certainly none of your business." She added, her voice silky and somewhat calm though behind her tone there was a certain ferocity. She wasn't really good at communicating with others, it that wasn't obvious enough already, yet sometimes she did know when to hold her tongue. Right now was NOT one of those times.
Flicking a long strand of blue hair over her shoulder, the female crossed her arms over her chest, narrowing her eyes at the other demon. She was just a little bit curious ... perhaps it was just the fact that she kept finding demons popping up all over the place all of a sudden and it certainly didn't seem all that right. Wasn't there supposed to be a barrier? And if so ... Then how had she herself gotten into the human world?
"Though I could ask you the same question." The ex-princess spoke, raising a thin eyebrow. She didn't feel very threatened, though maybe that was just her stubborn nature kicking in. Who knows.

" GET AWAY!" A little voice that should be familiar to Ash yelled, she was running though the forest quickly. She seemed to be holding the bandanna that was hideing her ears down with one of her hands, while the other was clinging to a ragidy looking bunny. She was quite a speedy little thing, she darted from side to side trying to loose whatever was chaseing her. "I Told you! I don't know what your talking about..s..so get away!" she screamed some, trying to run faster.
She was seeming to be being chased by a Human, but the Human's eyes were Red, and horns were visible for other demons to see or people with high spirit awareness. So..It was either a human being posses by a demon, or a demon in disguise...with way..Sarah didn't care what it was... she just wanted to get the person to stop chaseing her.
She was burning allot of her energy, getting more and more tired and slowing down. She was actually close to Hiei and Ash, but she was to busy to notice them at the moment, eventually, she just kinda tripped on the ground, skidding across it and hitting her little chest against a root, squeaking and coughing, getting the wind knocked out of her. She coughed desperately trying to regain her breath.
Right then, the demon chaseing her seemed to catch up, leaping into the air and tried coming back down on top of the tiny raccoon demon.

"Give me your reason and I'll give you mine." He faced the demoness, not in the least surprised by her reaction. He confronted her without giving it much thought and he realized that it was a foolish thing to do. Getting a demon to answer something like that was like making somebody admit to a crime. Just about every demon that crossed over had some kind of sinister plan up their sleeve, he knew from expirience. He expected the same out of her.
He felt another surge of demonic energy growing near, and before he knew it he saw the other girl racing away from what appeared to be a humanoid-like demon, he wasnt entirely sure. How were so many demons getting through the barrier? Something wasnt right. he unsheathed his katana and swung the blade toward the horned, red-eyed human.

Ash could sense Sarah, recognising her voice too ofcourse and frowned slightly - was she ever going to get some peace around here? Apparently not because people just kept propping up to cause her problems. In actual fact there was a part of the female's brain that believed that everyone was out to get her ...
Paranoid or what?
Yet either way she would reluctantly help the kid, and answer Hiei's question at the same time - multi-tasking was a thing that women did well, right? Well Ash was no different ... But odd thing is that she didn't even move towards the demon, instead she dashed over to Sarah, her form becoming a slight blur of blue as she grabbed the little girl and pulled her out of the reach of the demonic human ... or whatever he was.
"It wasn't my choice to come here - I was thrown down from Makai after my bandits got into a fight and the blast that occured transported me here." She answered, her voice still calm as ever. "And I decided to not go back ... It's that simple. Now how about you?"

The demon seemed to die right away, it clearly wasn't strong compared to ash and Hiei, but for someone Sarah's size it was just a little bit of a problem. She yelped a bit seeing Hiei kill the Thing and Ash pull her out of the way, and since the little demon knew ash, the small creature automatically clung to her leg with a hug repeating "thank you thank you thank you" over and over again. looking at Hiei and saying the same thing.
Eventually she calmed down and let go of Ash's leg, falling back and sitting on her bottom, breathing in an out really fast and catch her breath. She looked at Ash, then at Hiei then back at the grass.

His attack was so swift that it looked almost effortless, and for him it pretty much was. The demon he just slayed was nothing compared to the monsters he'd destroyed in the past. That one was meteocre, its class couldnt have been higher than C. He whiped the blood from his blade and sheathed his katana, showing no emotion after killing the demon as if it was an everyday thing. Koenma would have to thank him when they ran into each other again.
"Hn," he replied, as the frantic racoon demon thanked him repeatedly. It was nothing, he barely had to lift a finger. He glanced down at Sarah with a nod, before shifting his attention toward the stronger blue-haired stranger. His arms folded over his lean abdomen. Now that Sarah was as close to him as she was, he could feel her aura too. That made three demons in one area, not counting himself. What was going on?
"A likely story," he replied, in respose to what Ash had told him. Whether it was the truth or an excuse was beyond him, but he couldnt trust somebody he met only seconds ago. Her speed was impressive, the way she moved faster than the eye could follow. Like him. He let a slight shrug roll over his shoulders.
"I have Koenma's permission to be here," he told her, simply. Telling her about Yukina would be a waste of time and none of her concern.

"Don't thank me, I only did it because you were near me - It wasn't like there was any effort needed." Ash stated quietly, and rather cruelly too. She didn't want Sarah to think that she cared in any way, even if deep down she really did - she wasn't a nasty person really, it was just that she refused to get too close to anyone emotionally ...
Not after what happened to her own family. She had loved them all dearly and they had loved their little princess back and she ofcourse had trusted the man who ended up killing them all and blinding her in one eye. There was no way she was going to let that happen again.
So she simply watched the little girl for a moment, her eyes still having that rather cold look about them, and she growled when Hiei spoke. So he didn't seem to trust her? Well she couldn't blame him - she didn't trust him either so really they were on the same level. Good thing they weren't about to start fighting, or it would be pretty hectic.
"Again, I could say the same thing ... As if Koenma, the prince of the spirit world, would give a demon permission to be here. It's extremely hard to believe." She told the male, taking in a deep breath. There really wasn't going to be any peace for a while, because looking down at the dead demon, she realised there were far too many of them coming through. Perhaps something had happened to the barrier.
"Though if it is true, there must be a reason." She added, taking a step back so she could lean against a tree and watch the other two closely at the same time. No - she didn't even trust the little raccoon demon.

Sarah whimpered a bit as waht Ash said and looked down at the ground a bit, her ears flickng back under the bandanna that was covering them. She sighed just a bit adn hugged the stffed rabbit against herself "S..still..even if it was efortless...t..thank you..." she looked away a bit, she lookd at Heie and him asking why Ah was hear, she felt asif she chould say why or how she got here too. She looked at the ground.
"I..I'm here..c..cause I wanna find my big brother..." she squeaked "I..I couldn't find him in the demon world..not anywhere..s..so I learned how to make portals to new places..only quick ones..b..but still a..and I learned how to get here...I..I was hoping maybe he was in this world somehow.." she said without looking up at Hiei.
Her ears flicked up at the Name Koenma, she remembered Kurama telling her about him..and how the could ask to see if her brother was on record so she looked up finally at Hiei "M..Mister Kuramam said he was going to ask that man Koenma if maybe big brother was on record somehow..."

"I gave you my answer," he spoke, knowing just how ironic it must have sounded, seeing how the last thing the prince of the spirit world wanted was for more demons to enter the human world, especially demons as powerful as Hiei was. However, he managed to prove finally prove himself to Koenma after working for him for so long with Yusuke Urameshi and the rest of the gang. "Whether you choose to believe it or not is up to you."
"I crossed over to see someone," he stated, but didnt give any specific details. He only told her as much as he had because she told him her purpose for being in the human realm, or at least what she claimed to be the reason why she was there.
He looked over at the smaller demon again, listening as she revealed why she was in Ningenkai as well. He turned around to face her when she mentioned the kitsune he knew so well. "How do you know Kurama," he asked her, forward and direct, yet calmly enough. Was Kurama aware of all of the demons who managed to slip through the barrier?

"I'm surprised ... It sounds as if you may actually have some friends." The wolf demon spoke, a little quieter than she had been. She couldn't help but speak snide comments and insult people - it was like second nature to her, except for the fact that most of the time she didn't mean anything that she said.
Because honestly, real deep down, the girl did have feelings and she did care about others, she just didn't show it very well, which often scared people away - not that she really minded. She did like being alone, yet if she had to admit it to herself, it was less boring being around others.
"We've both met Kurama, unfortunately ... He appeared and interuppted my work and than had the gal to say that he wanted to help me." Apparently Ash didn't like the kitsune all that much, not after he was smart enough to figure out her weakness - her right blind eye. And that in turn her ended up with her being cut in the side.
"And there was that stupid human." She added, closing her eyes and tapping her pale fingers on her arm as if impatient. It may have seemed as if she hated the mortals, but that wasn't true - she was actually quite intrigued by them, not that she would ever admit that ofcourse.

Sarah looked up at Hiei again, she nodded" Like Miss Ash said...We both Met mister Kurama...he told me that he would help me find my big brother!" she yipped, her tail wagged a bit "we were at the abandoned industrial park...He's going to help me find big brother...he is!" she smiled brightly.
She then looked at Ash "Aww..someone Miss Ash..Mister Kurama was only trying to help..." she smiled a bit" and Mister Kuwabara is funny!" she giggled a little bit "he has still y hair and he says things that make me laugh!"

"I never I said it was a friend I was visiting," he said, his narrow eyes sharpening as he glared at the blue-haired demoness. Hiei didnt think he had friends, and if he did he didnt call them that. Friendship was for the weak and he confided in nobody. Allies, he had allies and a sister. That was all.
Ash certainly did have a sharp tongue, one thing the both of them had in common. It was a good thing she was powerful, because if she wasnt that mouth of hers would probably get her into more trouble than she could afford. He'd seen it happen too many times before in Makai. Every now and then meteocre demons win a few battles and become arrogant and it was usually their attitudes that got them killed. Fools. He knew he had the skill to back up his own demeanor.
"The fox has a way of over-stepping his boundaries," Hiei said, with all due respect for his former partner in crime. Living as a human for so long made him soften up a bit. He smirked faintly after Ash mentioned a stupid human. The only stupid human he could think of who hung around Kurama was Kuwabara.
"If by funny you mean foolish and idiotic, then I would have to agree. He is funny." Out of all the humans he had ever made contact with, Kuwabara had to have been the most pathetic. Whenever they interacted Hiei was usually mocking the oaf. He didnt hate him though, but he did do a very good job at making others believe that he did.

"I'm not surprised to hear that ... I doubt anyone would want to be friends with a brat." Wait ... Did Ash just call Hiei a brat? She certainly did, yet she didn't smirk at her own words or anything, it was just as if they had slipped right from her tongue without her brain working in the equation. And that was pretty much what had happened aswell ...
You see the wolf never really did use her brain ... She rushed right into things without thinking, yet she had been a great leader to her bandit friends and being strong meant that most were scared to face off against her anyway. That was all for the better because she really didn't like most other people.
"So I take it that you are acquaintences with the redhead and the idiot then? Well isn't that nice?" Ash muttered under her breath, opening one eye to watch the other two again. She wasn't sure why but she really did feel like questioning the male a little bit more, even if he did have an attitude that she didn't really like. Kind of a hipocrite really, seenas she was coming off a cold and rather nasty being herself.
She did glance to Sarah again though, watching the little creature. She did somehow feel sorry for her ... Though she had a tendency to speak her mind, and what she though was the truth, which meant that she ofcourse was going to say something else ... "If I were you I would give up looking for your brother. Either he is dead or he just didn't care enough about you to come looking for you himself."
Wow she really could be rather mean.
